We are pleased to announce that we are freezing our supporter rates for libraries and public institutions for the third year. This decision acknowledges both the pressures publicly financed institutions, particularly universities, have faced in current years and the growing number of institutions now providing support.
“DOAJ is reliant on the support we receive from libraries, universities and public institutions around the world”, says Joanna Ball, Managing Director. “We recognise that many of our supporters’ budgets are under increased pressure due to the consequences of COVID and other international events. Our decision also reflects the fact that a growing number of institutions across the world are making a commitment to open infrastructure by supporting us. These additional numbers enable us to continue to develop the platform, handle the increasing number of applications for inclusion in the index, and enhance our support for all open access journals globally without increasing rates.”
