For the past few days, we have been experiencing problems with generating the CSV file that contains all of our journal metadata. The file is used by many services downstream of DOAJ that incorporate the metadata into their knowledge and discovery products.
It means that the journal CSV file currently available on the website hasn’t been updated since 9th October 15:54 UTC [2023-10-09 15:54:23 UTC] and therefore:
- doesn’t include the metadata of any new journal added after that time
- will still include journals that have since been withdrawn from DOAJ
- won’t reflect any changes made to indexed journals’ metadata, such as URL changes, after this date and time
We’re receiving requests from users to make changes to metadata that have already been made. If you are using DOAJ metadata and something doesn’t look right, please let us know, and we’ll be able to confirm whether or not we have already corrected the metadata.
We are actively investigating the cause of the journal CSV problem and will send another update as soon as normal service is resumed.
As always, let us know if you have questions.
