In July we sent a survey to +7000 publishers to conduct a study commissioned by cOAlition S on Open Access journals and platforms that are free of charge for readers and authors.
OPERAS have put together the preliminary results of the 2000 contributions so far, but it is very important that we get as many responses as possible. As OPERAS mention in their blog post, the survey is important because it will inform steps funding organization can or will take to financially or otherwise support these open access journals, that often tend to be overlooked as a way forward in scholarly publishing.
We need more responses, particularly from Asia (3,6%) and Africa (1%)!
If you manage an academic journal that is free for authors and readers, please do respond to this survey:
The survey is available in 6 languages and will be open until the 11th of September:

Thank you very much for the 2000 responses!
