DOAJ and OASPA have been collaborating for many years. OASPA is holding a conference in Lisbon from 16-18 September 2024, and is offering DOAJ-indexed publishers a 20% discount on ticket prices. The theme of the conference is working towards making equitable open access a reality.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DOAJ and OASPA have enjoyed a productive partnership for many years. DOAJ and OASPA have made a real difference to the standards and reputation of open access publishing through founding and now leading Think. Check. Submit<\/a>, writing the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing<\/a>, and launching the OA Journals Toolkit<\/a>. DOAJ has also played an important role in the governance of OASPA. Both Lars Bj\u00f8rnshauge, DOAJ Founder, and I have sat on the OASPA Board of Directors, and I have been the Chair of the Board since October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recognition of this fruitful partnership, OASPA is offering a discount to all DOAJ-indexed publishers for its upcoming conference<\/em><\/strong> in Lisbon, Portugal. More details are below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OASPA conference has been held online for several years now and has been the highlight of the scholarly communications calendar. With a rich range of content and a diverse audience, the conference has gone from strength to strength. As Chair, I am really excited by this opportunity to meet in person other members of the Board, our OASPA members and hopefully some of our DOAJ friends, too.<\/p>\n\n\n
