This new version of the API introduces significant performance improvements on the bulk article upload endpoint (\/api\/bulk\/articles) but is not backwards compatible so if you rely on bulk article uploads, you will need to upgrade your integrations to use the new version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This upgrade affects only the&nbsp;\/api\/bulk\/articles&nbsp;endpoint.<\/em>&nbsp;If you do not use this feature, your API integrations will continue to work normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Timeline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>18 June 2024<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; v4 of the API will be released and available at the base URL\u00a0\/api\/v4. It will not replace the existing current API version (v3). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Approximately one month after 18th June 2024 (exact date to be confirmed): <\/strong>The v4 API will become the &#8220;current&#8221; API version and will be available at\u00a0\/api\u00a0AND\u00a0\/api\/v4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Approximately six months after 18th June 2024 (exact date to be confirmed)<\/strong>:\u00a0All previous API versions (v1, v2 and v3) will cease to support bulk article uploads, and if you wish to use this feature, you must use the v4 API. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For full details, <a href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/g\/doaj-api-announcements\/c\/uX930xkHUmo\">read the announcement in our API group<\/a>.
