In this post we outline good practice information and guidelines for use of the DOAJ logo and materials.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our community uses our logo for a variety of purposes, for example to celebrate being indexed in DOAJ, to show that they provide financial support for DOAJ or to link to our website from their library guides.<br><br>Occasionally we see an old version of the logo. Our logo is an integral part of our identity, and we appreciate your help in keeping it consistent and ensuring the correct version is used. We\u2019d like to remind our community where to find the correct DOAJ logo, and encourage those who display our logo to check that they have the right version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SVG and PNG<a href=\"https:\/\/doaj-kit.netlify.app\/building-blocks\/logotype\/\"> versions of our logo can be downloaded from our branding toolkit.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guidelines for using the DOAJ logo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You may use the DOAJ logo without prior permission in the following situations:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>On a journal website<\/strong>, provided the journal is indexed in DOAJ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>On a library, publisher or organisational website<\/strong> to indicate that the organisation provides financial support to DOAJ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In presentations, <\/strong>&nbsp;when referring to DOAJ as a resource (see below for more information on using DOAJ materials)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O<strong>n project websites<\/strong>, where DOAJ is a formal project partner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use of the DOAJ logo must not imply that DOAJ endorses, supports, partners with, or co-organises an activity or organisation, unless this has been explicitly agreed in advance. Journals that are <strong>not<\/strong> indexed in DOAJ may not display the DOAJ logo on their websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guidelines for using DOAJ materials<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, DOAJ team members and Ambassadors participated in almost 150 events and workshops worldwide. Many of our slides and workshop materials are shared openly via Zenodo or directly with participants after the session has concluded. All DOAJ slides and workshop materials made available under a <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0\/deed.en\"><strong>CC BY-SA license<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that any reuse of content from DOAJ\u2019s website, webinars, presentations, or other materials must include appropriate attribution. Reuse must also not suggest that a presenter, organiser, or consultant is affiliated with DOAJ when this is not the case.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When referring to DOAJ\u2019s criteria, guidelines, or application process, external parties must make it clear that any advice given is independent of DOAJ and of DOAJ\u2019s editorial processes, reviews, and outcomes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For external consultants or trainers using DOAJ guidelines, presentations, or other materials, we ask that you add a clear disclaimer statement, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThis course is independent from DOAJ, and the presenter is not affiliated with DOAJ.
