We will gradually transfer DOAJ&#8217;s operations over the coming months from our current host, Infrastructure Services for Open Access, to the new foundation. The move will secure DOAJ&#8217;s sustainability by providing more robust community governance and simplifying our organisation, meaning we can focus on our core mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To govern this new organisation, we have established a new <a href=\"https:\/\/doaj.org\/about\/advisory-board-council\/\">DOAJ Foundation Board<\/a>, made up of community members representing the diversity of DOAJ\u2019s stakeholder groups. The Foundation Board will be supplemented by a new Advisory Board reflecting the breadth of DOAJ\u2019s community: librarians, publishers, researchers, data users and research funders from all parts of the world. We will very shortly be putting out a call for nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DOAJ will continue to operate as usual during this transition. There will be no disruption to our services or team, and we will continue to provide the same high-quality content and services to our users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DOAJ\u2019s former home, <a href=\"https:\/\/is4oa.org\/\">Infrastructure Services for Open Access, a UK CIC<\/a>, will continue to run until the transition of operations is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are excited to begin this new chapter in DOAJ&#8217;s history and are confident that this change will strengthen DOAJ and ensure its continued success for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are excited to announce that DOAJ is moving to become a new legal entity, the DOAJ Foundation, a Danish nonprofit foundation.
