Most of all, it is our chance to re-establish team connections, learn from each other&#8217;s experiences and renew friendships.<\/p>\n<p>Previous meetings have taken place in Stockholm, Rome, Copenhagen, and Barcelona. This year, we are heading to beautiful Vienna in Austria, the world&#8217;s stage for classical music, opera and schnitzel! We are extremely lucky and honoured that <a href=\"https:\/\/bibliothek.univie.ac.at\/en\/\">the Library<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.univie.ac.at\/en\/\">University of Vienna<\/a>\u00a0has agreed to host us for the 3-day meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Vienna, and <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1mtQ06lq1MtH567NAVVvlSdv09njhn-yToPLAycJCR70\/edit#gid=0&amp;range=B34\">Austria as a whole<\/a>, have been extremely supportive of DOAJ over many years. The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) was <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/de\/2015\/10\/19\/austria-a-concerted-and-coordinated-national-effort-to-lead-by-example\/\">the first state funder to agree to provide funding to DOAJ on a nationwide scale<\/a>. They <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/de\/2017\/02\/06\/continued-support-from-austria-to-doaj\/\">renewed their investment<\/a> in 2017, this time joined by <span style=\"font-weight:400;\">the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.en.bmwfw.gv.at\/Seiten\/default.aspx\">BMWFW<\/a>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We thank University of Vienna unreservedly for their hospitality over the next few days.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow is the start of DOAJ&#8217;s biannual meeting, where team members and colleagues come together to discuss DOAJ strategy and developments, editorial policy and processes.
