We have also created a group of seven voluntary associate editors who will help DOAJ with applications coming from Southeast Asia. From 1st December 2017, the Ambassadors will start working on promoting DOAJ\u2019s practices and standards, and Best Practices in Open Access publishing.<\/p>\n<p>We are increasing our work and\u00a0visibility as <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/de\/2017\/11\/24\/large-scale-implementation-of-open-access-in-china\/\">Open Access implementation <\/a>spreads in many regions in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The three new Korean Ambassadors are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hea Lim Rhee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Hea is a senior researcher at Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kisti.re.kr\/eng\/\">KISTI<\/a>), and also the managing editor of KISTI\u2019s<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Journal of Information Science T<\/span><\/i><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-1875\" src=\"https:\/\/doajournals.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851.jpg?w=173\" alt=\"hea-lim-rhee.jpg\" width=\"196\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851.jpg 1918w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851-243x300.jpg 243w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851-829x1024.jpg 829w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851-768x948.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851-1244x1536.jpg 1244w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/hea-lim-rhee-e1511858695851-1659x2048.jpg 1659w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 196px) 100vw, 196px\" \/><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\">heory and Practice<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jistap.org\/journal.do?method=journalintro&amp;journalSeq=J000043\">JISTaP<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jistap.org\/journal.do?method=journalintro&amp;journalSeq=J000043\">JISTaP<\/a><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400\">),\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">the first English journal on computer science in Korea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Hea received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, where she specialized in archives and records management.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1_k6Gexvo1I1gifcXV41WIo3vufpFBsij\/view?usp=sharing\">Conflict of Interest document<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0663-4373\">Hyun Jung Yi<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hyun Jung Yi holds a PhD in Library and Information Science from Chung-Ang University, Korea. She is a librarian at Hanyang University Guri Hospital, Korea.\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1876 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/doajournals.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/20171114_134053.png\" alt=\"20171114_134053\" width=\"186\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/20171114_134053.png 277w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/20171114_134053-228x300.png 228w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, she also serves as a member of the Scholarly Committee at the Korean Medical Library Association and as a vice chair of the Committee of Information Management at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcse.org\/\">Korean Council of Science Editors<\/a>. Her interests include observing trends in the scholarly publishing market, disseminating open access journals, and enhancing the publishing environment for researchers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1GhYyxByh3ecv1SYbCmhKhLIqtLOI19Zd\/view?usp=sharing\">Conflict of Interest document<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0001-7924-6967\">Youngim Jung<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Youngim holds a PhD from Pusan National University in Computer Science and Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">She is now a Senior Researcher at Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information developing and managing scholarly publishing systems for supporting domestic societies. Previously, she worked for <a href=\"http:\/\/icolc.net\/consortia\/135\">KESLI<\/a>, the national library consortium in South Korea and contributed herself to establish Korea DOI Center.\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1877 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/doajournals.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/youngim-jung.jpg\" alt=\"Youngim Jung.jpg\" width=\"162\" height=\"217\" \/> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">She is a committee member of KCSE (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcse.org\/\">Korean Council of Science Editors<\/a>) and CASE (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.asianeditor.org\/\">Council of Asian Science Editors<\/a>). She has authored publications and communications in the field of Scientometrics, Library Systems and Natural Language Processing.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1GhYyxByh3ecv1SYbCmhKhLIqtLOI19Zd\/view?usp=sharing\">Conflict of Interest document<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-8559-8640\">Sun Huh<\/a><\/strong> (honorary Ambassador)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1874 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/doajournals.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/sun_20151210.jpg\" alt=\"sun_20151210.jpg\" width=\"188\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sun_20151210.jpg 895w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sun_20151210-235x300.jpg 235w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sun_20151210-803x1024.jpg 803w, https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/sun_20151210-768x980.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Sun is a medical doctor and holds a PhD from Seoul National University in parasitology. He has been a Professor of Parasitology, College of Medicine, Hallym University, Korea since 1988. He has worked voluntarily as a board member of Korean Association of Medical Journal Editors (1996-2011), Korean Council of Science Editors (2011-present), and Council of Asian Science Editors (2014-present). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400\">He has been an editor\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:400\">of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jeehp.org\/\">J<\/a><\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jeehp.org\/\">ournal of Educational Evaluation for Health Professions<\/a><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> since 2005.
