{"id":1531,"date":"2017-08-17T07:40:12","date_gmt":"2017-08-17T06:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/?p=1531"},"modified":"2017-08-17T07:40:12","modified_gmt":"2017-08-17T06:40:12","slug":"increasing-the-impact-of-open-access-in-indonesia-a-universities-consortium-and-3-new-ambassadors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/de\/2017\/08\/17\/increasing-the-impact-of-open-access-in-indonesia-a-universities-consortium-and-3-new-ambassadors\/","title":{"rendered":"Increasing the impact of open access in Indonesia: a universities consortium and 3 new Ambassadors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Further to our <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.doaj.org\/de\/2017\/08\/02\/indonesian-universities-consortium\/\">last post<\/a> about developments in Indonesia, important ties between Indonesia and DOAJ have now been established.<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/doaj.org\/members\">ADRI consortium of more than 60 institutions<\/a> has signed up as a DOAJ consortia member. The consortium is one of the biggest registered with DOAJ, reflected by the high amount of traffic and the number of new applications that DOAJ currently receives from Indonesia. We are absolutely delighted to have the consortium join us.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, three new Ambassadors have been appointed. From 1st September 2017, the Ambassadors will start working on promoting DOAJ&#8217;s practices and standards, and Best Practices in Open Access publishing. This work has two goals: to improve the quality of Indonesia&#8217;s open access journals and to improve the quality of the applications submitted to DOAJ. The three appointed ambassadors are:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Dian_Indriani2\">Dian Eka Indriani<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Sudarmawan_Samidi\">Sudarmawan Samidi<\/a><br \/>\nHaris Rosdianto<\/p>\n<p>Due to the scale of operations in Indonesia, we have also appointed 2 honorary Ambassadors: <a href=\"http:\/\/toho-cholik-mutohir.staff.unesa.ac.id\/\">Professor\u00a0Toho Cholik Mutohir<\/a>\u00a0(in Indonesian) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/abdul-wahid-maktub-22744b18\/\">Abdul Wahid Maktub<\/a>. Professor Mutohir is a lecturer at Surabaya State University and Abdul Wahid Maktub is\u00a0Special Advisor to the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. Congratulations to you all.
